Embrace the power of touch…
“I pray give skill to my hands, clear vision to my mind, and kindness and meekness to my heart. Give me singleness of purpose, strength to lift up a part of the burden of my suffering from fellow men and a true realization of the privilege that is mine.” ~ Mother Teresa
We live in very scary times right now. I have rarely been one to watch the news. The little bit of news I do hear about is on NPR and what my clients and friends tell me about. I prefer to forever live in a pollyanna world where there is no violence or negativity. Now more than ever, caring for yourself is NOT self indulgent. Caring for yourself is an act of survival.
A 2001 graduate of the Massage Therapy Institute in Davis, I have over a decade of professional experience, and offer a wide variety of Eastern/Western massage styles. I am highly intuitive and genuinely care about those individuals that seek me out for their bodywork.
I am blessed with the opportunity to be gainfully self employed in a profession that I am enthusiastic and passionate about. I am a perpetual student of massage and am always exploring unique areas of treatment, whether it’s by taking classes, or receiving sessions while traveling abroad. My latest sojourn to Thailand/Bali was a very enlightening experience. (A 1 hour massage for $5!)
With my spa and racquet club employment background, and my ongoing commitment to living a healthy, active lifestyle, I believe I have the skills and expertise to design a professional, thorough and personalized massage experience to ease stress, physical pain, or emotional upheaval.
I LOVE the massage profession for many reasons. I have the pleasure of meeting diverse, interesting individuals from all walks of life. It gratifies me to know my work causes me to touch lives, and that by these lives I too am touched. Some of the greatest teachers I have known have shown up on my massage table. My journey of massage, therefore, is one that takes into account the whole individual, body and soul.
A few of my clients were kind, not to mention, brave enough to agree to do a video testimonial of my business. Feel free to peruse the videos below, or click on the testimonials tab at the About Vonda page for written testimonials.
